WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6

There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 16:25

The two verses above show a distinct and sharp contrast between a relationship with God and “religion”. God, the creator and sustainer of the universe is sovereign, He is a holy, loving, merciful, forgiving, righteous God. He has provided a way of salvation for all who will respond to His free gift! God loves you just the way you are, there is nothing one can do to earn salvation.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

-It is by God’s grace that we are saved.-

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”  John 3:16

God has provided us with His written word so that we may know Him and learn of His plan for us. There is a way that one can have a relationship with Him. The following verses are found in the New Testament, in the book of Romans; this is a way that you can begin your relationship with the living God!

The existence of God and the evidence of His creation:

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” Romans 1:20-21

-Acknowledge that God is and that He is the creator-

The existence of sin in our lives and the result; separation from God:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

We were all born with sin. We all have sin in our lives and in our hearts as well.

-Admit that you are a sinner-

The consequence of sin, spiritual death: eternal separation from God:

“….The wages of sin is death,” Romans 6:23a

All of us are going to experience physical death, that is inescapable; physical death is a result of sin. The Bible refers to a “second death”, this is spiritual death. Spiritual death separates us from God for eternity. The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire, this is where people who have not placed their faith and trust in Christ will remain for eternity and be in torment forever.

-Realize and acknowledge that because of your sin, you deserve death-

The way to a relationship with God; Jesus who is God with us:

“…But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23b

Salvation is a free gift from God! Salvation can not be earned. You must place your faith and trust in Christ and His finished work at the cross to be saved.

-Ask God to forgive you and to save you-

The manner in which God demonstrates His love for you and me:

“God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!” Romans 5:8

Jesus death on the cross paid for all the sin of the entire world past present and future. He paid sin’s penalty in full for all who place their faith and trust in Him! He has saved us from slavery to sin and death! All you have to do is receive this free gift by faith. Christ did this because He loves you!

-Place your faith and trust in Christ… Experience God’s forgiveness; allow Him to change your life. His love is what saves you…not religion or church membership. God loves you and has created you for a relationship with Him! Receive His free gift today! –

Confession of Christ as Lord and belief in His resurrection:

“…If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” Romans 10: 9-10

If you recognize your need for a relationship with the living God and are seeking the peace and comfort that comes with salvation, Jesus is the answer! Ask in faith believing and He will even supply the faith!

-Do not hesitate another minute, do not delay; ask Him for new life. This is without a doubt the most important decision you will ever make!-

The name above all names: Jesus, Lord and Savior:

“Whoever will call on the name of the Lord  will be saved!” Romans 10:13

– Call out to God for salvation in the name of Jesus-
